Update van Pieter Heerema, eerste Nederlandse deelnemer aan de solorace around the world, de Vendée Globe.
Today was another perfect day: pretty highspeed exactly in the direction I want to go. The boat is mostly doing fine now. I have finally fixed the rudder (4 weeks of kick- ups; not good for confidence).

There are some issues that can and have to wait till a future calm period, but that could be a while.

Only bad at the moment is the leaking diesel tank, so there is a horrible diesel smell all over. I cannot locate the leak, so cannot repair. I will also need a calm period.

I am enjoying this Vendée Globe very much. It needs not always be the toughest conditions!
