100 mile
as founder of shorthanded.nl I’m also busy with the 100 Mile race aka brown ridge race. it is part of the north sea regatta, netherlands biggest sailing regatta. we have already 13 boats, from classe mini to figaro1 and open 40 and class 40 entrants. not a big fleet but an interesting bunch of shorthanded sailors. the interesting part of the 100 Mile is that you can choose which way you round the 2 buoy’s on the browne ridge. tidal streams and wind take an important role in that decision. half way round you met the guys who took the other turn. than you know if made the rigth choice or not €:-D
